Member Ogoja State Constituency, Cross River State House of Assembly, Honourable Peter Odey believes the Youths has a key role to play in redefining the politics and governance of the state.
Hon Odey made this know on Tuesday when the Cross River State in Youths for Good Governance (CRSYGG) visited him in his office.
He stated that any government in the state that jokes with the youths is indirectly joking with the future of Cross River State.
“My wish is that if I am leaving the office I won’t hand over to someone older than me. My question is when will the youth have the opportunity to serve. My wish is to carry everybody along and you need to support the current Governor of Cross River State, Ben Ayade.
“The youth of Cross River State is the only strenght that we have and if you joke with the youth, you joke with the future of Cross River State. Anyone who suffer the youth will face the consequences tomorrow because this same youth would rule over them someday.
“I know within the confine of my office I have done my best. I can say Ogoja has gotten the best representation they needed and I am glad we are a living witness to it.
“We should appreciate the people that will build the structure of our future. You don’t need a ladder because you have the network already.
Meanwhile, a member of the Cross River State in Youth for Good Governance stated that the group officially adopt Hon Odey for a second term based on his good works in the Constituency.
“Our main focus is to tell you that you have done well and we have come to apreciate you. On behalf of our state excos and local government excos, we want to officially adopt you for a second term in 2019.
