Members of the Izzi Nnodo Youth Forum have lay accusing fingers on Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade for his poor response in tackling and resolving issues of inter-communal Killing between Igbeazu Izzi people in Izzi LGA of Ebonyi State and Ukele in Yala LGA of Cross River State.
The group particularly from Izzi and Abakaliki local government areas of Ebonyi believed that such crisis could have been checkmated if the governor had shown keen interest on the development that has rocked the two states.
According to the President of the forum, Hon. Ben Nwovu, he stated that the people are suffering because the attention by the CRS government to cushion the effect of the crisis was not enough, leaving majority of the burden to Ebonyi State governor to manage, to ensure peace reign.
In addition, Nwovu accused the National Boundary Commission, NBC, for not responding to boundary issues in the country, noting that if permanent demarcation had been created since the dispute began in 2005, the land disputes between Ebonyi and Cross River could have been a thing of the past.
However, the attention of the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, to intervene by way of providing relief materials to the affected victims of bott states.
