The Deputy State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Cross River State Chapter, Sir John Ochala has debunked rumours been circulated in the media that a court in
Abuja have unseat the current APC Chairman in the state, Dr Matthew Achigbe for Etim John.
Ochala made this revelation on Friday during APC rally in Boki/Ikom, Cross River State, where he admonished the people of the state not to be misled by the false information.
He also condemned reports that the party are disunited; promptly informing that they are organised and united compared to earlier rumours.
More so, Mr Ochala used the medium to officially announce that APC aspirant, Victor Abang would be running for the post of Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency in the 2019 elections.
“I am sir John Ochala, the deputy state chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Cross River State chapter. I am here with a very short goodwill message. About 72 hours ago, there have been information going round the state that there have been a change of guard of leadership as pronounced by a court. That information is not only false but malicious; and there is nothing that can be further from the truth. APC Cross River State is united and remain under the leadership of Doctor Godwin Matthew Achigbe and I his humble deputy.
“I also want to inform you that one of the aspirants have excited the state because when we heard about his decision to be in the race, we knew that the game had been up by a step. Is a man that is known by all of you, who has proven over the years his best. And we hope that what you are doing is not influence by any other thing but credibility. And I am sure that at the end of the day when you do that, you are going to make the right choice.
