Emmanuel Destiny Asegem, the leader of Ukelle youths and Coordinator of the Hon Jarigbe Agom re-election Campaign for Yala 2 State Constituency has congratulated Senator Professor Ben Ayade the Cross River State Governor for his well-deserved victory in last Saturday’s election.
Asegem a member of the State Anti-Deforestation Task Force who played a prominent role in the victory of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Yala 2 State Constituency said the landslide victory given to Governor Ayade would ginger him to perform more and industralise the state further by setting up more industries and also increase his welfare package to the people through appointments and healthcare services.
“Our Digial Governor has performed exceptionally well during the last three years plus and his landslide victory is not a surprise to most people in the state and with this victory he is sure to take more giant strides in the next four years”.
Asegem who also congratulated Senator Rose Oko, the Senator representing the Northern Senatorial District of the state and Honnourable Jarigbe Agom the member representing Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives said their good works have made the people of Ogoja proud and with their re-election, more good things are sure to come the way of the district in the next four years.
“Senator Rose and Hon Jarigbbe Agom have shown that the people matter through their empowerment and welfare projects they attracted to the area in the past four years and we are happy that they have been re-elected and more good things will come our way soon”.
He said with the Certificate of Returns handed to the two lawmakers on Thursday by INEC, there is no dispute as to the clarity and certainty of their victory and called on those who contested on the platform of other parties to join hands with the elected lawmakers and work towards the development of the area and state as a whole.
“I call on my brothers and sisters in other parties who contested against them to see what happened as the will of God and the wish of the people and join hands with them to develop the area as the aim of contesting any election is to serve and in whatever category they find themselves, they can still serve the people”.
He assured the Governor and all those elected of the support of the youths and people of Ukelle at all times declaring that Ukelle is a peace loving area and hardworking people who would always do the needful to ensure growth and development in the state.
“Ukelle has always contributed its quota in the development of the state and in this government that has recognised us, we will continue to accord it our support at all times”.
