The Task force committee saddled with the interim duties as assigned by His Excellency the Cross River State, Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade to intervene and execute quick win projects, today embarked on an abandoned vehicle exercise in Calabar Metropolis.
The Chairman of the Committee, Mr Eric Anderson noted that their programmes are in tandem with the mandate of Government and His Excellency’s desires to transform the State into industrial hub while maintaining it’s tourism glow.
Speaking to press men he said, “we have made adequate consultations. Sent enough notices through various media houses, hence this exercise of enforcement to keep Calabar clean, while giving our people access roads through evacuation of abandoned vehicles”.

The exercise which began in the early hours of the day, dragged into nightfall with very impeccable results as most major areas in State Housing and Federal Housing Estate, Highway, 8miles, Ikot Ishie amongst others were cleared of abandoned vehicles.
