Senator Gershom Bassey, A Philanthropist Beyond Just Charity Display In Cross River State

Senator Gershom Henry Bassey, the Senator representing Cross River Southern Senatorial District has proven beyond doubt his capability of bridging the gap among all religion  caucaus in Cross River State and creating a platform for social interaction aim at strengthening religious tolerance.

Known for his calculative and brain-storming approach before embarking on any projects or action, Sen. Gershom’s Christianity lifestyle has not deter him from extending solidarity hands to the less privilege in his constituency and Cross River State as large.

Muslims, Christians and other religious worshippers have consistently enjoyed some of the social responsibility been displayed by the amiable senator;painting smiles on their faces at will and building a new hope for a better life.

His level of charity was well exhibited when he donated 200 bags of cement for the construction/rehabilitation of a mosque to his muslim community within his constituency.

Besides, during the 2018 Father’s Day celebration in June, Senator Gershom, who was represented by the Ekanem Bassey, the Chairman of the occasion, donated a sum of N250,000 to the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Duke Town  Parish in Calabar.

He made the same kind gesture when he also donated the sum of N200,000 to the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, First Abuja Parish to the delight of the congregation.

By and large, Senate Gershom Bassey has indeed exhibited love for humanity regardless of where they belong in the society; not to win their attention for the 2019 elections but to create a lasting statement that true dividends of democracy can be enjoyed when the right leader are elected into power.
