Executive Chairman, Cross River State Universal Basic Education Board who also doubles as the Director General PDP Campaign Council Ogoja Yala Federal Constituency on behalf of the good and peace loving people of YACHE NATION welcome Distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to her home.
The people were happy to see and hear from their senator on their soil physically identifying with them, this very first time since the inception of nascent democracy in the state.
Several YACHE sons and daughters took turns to appreciate the love demonstrated by Distinguished Senator Rose to have visited them, having thanked SRO for coming down to YACHE to say good morning to them, they further bared their mind about the state of Okuku-Akreha-Alifokpa-Benue road as they assured her of voting for her second term in office, the road should be considered as a priority project for YACHE people.
Distinguished Senator, representing the good people of Cross River North Senatorial District- Dr. (Mrs.) Rose Oko responded and thanked the people for coming out on a very short notice,
“I told Dr. Odey that I want to come home, I want to speak to my people in Yache, I just want to speak to a few people, not a rally but I am happy that in one day he has turned this visit into a rally, and so I want to say thank you to him (Dr.Odey) and I want to say thank you to you my Yache people…” SRO stated.
About the Okuku-Akreha-Alifokpa-Benue road, SRO said while she was a Member of Parliament representing the good people of Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency, the then state government awarded her the contract to construct the said road but there was no money to fund the project and hence she advised the government at the time to re award the said road project to another contractor which was done, however now that she has been in the Red Chamber and for the love of the people, she approached the President of the Senate, Distinguished Senator Bukola Saraki concerning this particular road and now the road has been captured in the budget for the NDDC to construct, Distinguished Senator Rose Oko concluded by supporting the Yache community effort in the construction of Orie-re bridge at Uchu with a one million (#1,000,000.00) naira, she further called on Yache nation to support her second term bid by voting massively all PDP candidates to enable her ensure that the said road is completely constructed and to further bring more dividends of democracy to the good people of Yache and indeed the entire senatorial district.
The royal fathers of the six clans of Yache nation prayed and blessed their Daughter Distinguished Senator (Dr.) Rose Oko and their Son Dr. (Barr.) Stephen Odey, as Yache nation once again solemnly resolved to vote:
