Reno Omokri, Dele Momodu In Cyber War Over Atiku

Former Spokesperson to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has taken on the publisher of the Ovation International Magazine, Dele Momodu, over the latter’s call on Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to do the needful by congratulating President Muhammadu Buhari as the winner of the presidential race of February 23.

Momodu had tweeted on his verified account, @DeleMomodu, that “My dear WAZIRIN, as a believer, you are aware that only God can give or take power. You’ve written your name in gold.

“Do not wait a minute longer. Please, pick that phone and call President Muhammadu Buhari. You have much more to gain Sir… Pass on the burden!”

The single tweet had 624 replies, 576 retweets and 1,192 likes within hours angered Omokri, who instantly replied to Momodu’s tweet.

Omokri tweeted in response that what Momodu could have done privately he chose to do publicly, according to him, it appeared that the Ovation publisher deliberately intended to add to the heavy burden Atiku is carrying at the moment.
Omokri tweeted @renoomokri that “Dear @DeleMomodu, I know for a fact you have @Atiku’s phone number, email address and WhatsApp details. Why do you choose to do this publicly? Why adding to the already heavy burden the man is carrying? He is carrying an elephant. Why add a snake to his load?”

Omokri’s tweet quickly had 624 replies, 576 retweet and 1200 likes.

Not done, Dele Momodu, in a swift response to Omokri, did not only retweeted Reno Omokri’s tweet, but noted that “My dear Reno, I’ve read your tweet. Pls let me say a few things for the record: 1. I did not work for Atiku, I only volunteered like I did for Buhari in 2015. I never interacted with his campaign office.

“2. The PDP Chairman, Uche Secondus, publicly rejected the results yesterday,” Momodu added.
