Reduction Of Tuition Fee: IMT Management Hails Gov. Ayade’s Superhuman Efforts


As part of his administrative goal to ensure that learning us affordable within the state, Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade has received rave reviews from the Management of the Institute of Technology and Management (ITM) for the reduction in the school’s tuition fees.

It will be recall that the amiable governor had last year promised to make education one of his major priorities in 2018 and has indeed kept to his promise.

The institution which initially pay N150,000 as tuition fee, will now pay N45,000, a situation marvel the students and staff of (MITM).

In his remarks, the Registrar of the Institute, Mr. Anthony A. Oshin appreciated the efforts of Governor Ayade when led a team of journalists on a media tour of projects in the Northern and Central Senatorial Districts of the State led by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mrs. RoseMary Archibong on 17th May, 2018.

Mr Oshin believed that the reduction of the tuition fee has attracted the attention of students from other states, thereby increasing the population of the institution drastically to 200.

He also applauded the Governor for coming to the aid of the institution by way of releasing cash to offset some of the outstanding debt that the institution owned contractors and workers handling projects in the Institute and the recommencement of projects abandoned earlier, stating that the school’s international standard curriculum makes it a citadel of learning in the State and beyond.

Meanwhile, in-coming Rector of the Institute, Jeff Thompson, who just arrived from the United Kingdom, reassured the governor that he would take the institution some steps better.

In addition, tour leader and Commissioner for Information, Mrs. RoseMary Archibong, stated the administration of Governor Ben Ayade’s comitted to giving the state education a facelift, and lauding the efforts of the institution for putting faith on the governor.
