Former Nigeria Ambassador to Ethiopia , Ambassador Nkoyo Toyo has described the Presidential Election Tribunal Judgement as a dense judgement and a huge investment of national resources which should be of great interest to all Nigerians.

Nkoyo a former Nigeria permanent Representatives to the Africa Union (AU) said Nigerians need to rise up to examine closely the import of judgement from the tribunal.

The former lawmaker however congratulate the former Nigeria Vice President and PDP candidate,Alhaji Atiku Abubakar for his peaceful prosecution of the case despite the provocation from many quarters including the ruling APC.

A five-man panel of judges led by the President of the appeal Court , Justice Garba Mohammed had given judgement against Atiku Abubakar ,a candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in favour of the Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for “lacking in merit and thereby struck out”.

Reacting to the judgement in a statement sent to our correspondent ,Nkoyo a member of PDP Presidential Campaign Council and a Former member of House of Representatives said:

“I think this is a very dense judgement in terms of the law used to substantiate the ruling made and after over 6 hours of judgement, it cannot be dismissed without a proper examination and analysis from many perspectives.

“I would add that for the sake of our country, its democracy, the development of the judiciary, the state of the law and future elections, the investment in this case which is a watershed case becomes very important.

“I commend former Vice President for the peaceful prosecution of this matter in court and the PDP for participating.

“For the record, we now as Nigerians need to ask a lot of questions about what lessons we have learned despite the huge investment in the case ” the statement stated.
