PRESIDENT BUHARI’S VISIT TO OPEN NEW VISTA OF DEV. – Archibong

The upcoming visit on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 by President Muhammadu Buhari to Cross River State to commission some strategic State and Federal projects has been described as a veritable platform that will open a new vista of development in the socio-economic and political progress of the State.

The State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mrs. RoseMary Archibong stated this in her office in Calabar while speaking to the Press to herald President Buhari’s second official visit to the State to commission the fully automated Ultra-Modern Multi Billion Naira Rice Seed and Seedling Multiplication Factory, which she explained is a key project of Governor Ben Ayade’s Agricultural revolution located at the Palatial Industrial Layout being constructed by the Governor.

Mrs. Archibong added that President Buhari while in the State would also commission the Nigerian Navy Reference Hospital permanent site, describing the Medical facility as “internationally fitted with modern equipment to serve the people of the State and beyond”.

“The coming of President Buhari a good one for us as a State. We are pleased that this critical project which construction started over three decades ago is coming to fruition during the era of President Buhari”, Mrs. Archibong pointed out, adding that “it is gratifying that this ultra modern fully fitted International Standard Hospital is materializing at this period of total industrialization of the State being championed by our digital Governor, Senator (Prof.) Ben Ayade”.

The Information and Orientation Commissioner lauded President Buhari for his commitment, which led to the completion of the gigantic project, which successive administrations could not muscle the necessary political will, stressing that the new Hospital would certainly boost the Medical Tourism component of the State development.

“We owe a great deal of gratitude and appreciation to the President and Commander-in Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the incumbent Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok Ette Ibas for the realization of this huge project”.

The Commissioner enjoin residents of the State to key into the visit by ensuring that, the State delivers on her usual hospitability, peaceful and homely disposition, which Cross River State have been reputed for in the past years.
