Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Charles Udoh, as a reward for hard work and dedication to effective service delivery, has donated a new Toyota Camry Car to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Uyo Ward 6 Chairman, Mr Akaninyene Eyo.
Speaking during the presentation at his Shelter Afrique residence on Friday, Mr Udoh described the beneficiary as a young man who shows commitment, diligence, and passion, and goes the extra miles to support the government and the party, as well as give whatever personal assistance that could be required within his means.
According to him, Akaninyene is a young man that is saddled with the responsibility to pilot the affairs of PDP Uyo Ward 6 in Etoi, Uyo Local Government Area, and has done it diligently. “This is to show others that when they do well, reward will always come. It is all about being patient.”
The Information Commissioner expressed gratitude to the State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel, for providing the platform to propel the state forward, and binding the PDP family together in the state, citing example of the last Democracy Day celebration which enjoyed massive turnout.
Chairman of Uyo Capital City Development Authority (UCCDA), Prince Enobong Uwah, commended the Commissioner for the sacrifice and labour of love, and decision to toe the path of Governor Emmanuel, whom he said is always committed to helping people apart from the infrastructure but also in human empowerment, and urged other public office holders to emulate the gesture.
He congratulated the beneficiary for his patience, saying that patience is a virtue, and charged others to learn to believe in something and be steadfast in whatever they do.
The visibly elated PDP Uyo Ward 6 Chairman, in his reaction, appreciated the Commissioner for the honour done on him with a car gift, saying that it will motivate him as well as ease his movement as the Ward Chairman to reach out to the party and meet his obligations.
He called on all youths in the state to be committed and dedicated to whatever they do with the hope that their reward will come someday.
Wife of the Information boss, Mrs Regina Charles Udoh, who presented the car key to the Ward Chairman; member representing Uyo State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Monday Eyo Okon; Vice Chairman of Uyo LGA, Amb Ukai Udeme Emmanuel; and Uyo PDP Chapter Chairman, Hon Idorenyin Orok, were among others at the presentation ceremony.
