A critical stakeholder in Cross River State, Joseph Odok believes the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate representing Ogoja/Yala Constituency for the House of Representative, Jude Ngaji doesn’t merit the party’s ticket ahead of the 2019 general election.
Ngaji, who was the former State Security Adviser to the Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade before he dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for APC, remains one of the candidates favoured to win the House of Representative seat.
However, Odok’s comments regarding Ngaji’s over reliance on the party mobilization funds before he could attend key events in the state, appears to come as an attack on the candidature of him.
In his comment, he said, “One APC House of Representative candidate from the Northern Senatorial District just got 50 million Naira from an opposition party’s gubernatorial candidate. He is a snitch that just moved to APC but still working for PDP. Even when he was given the ticket, his link with the Northern gubernatorial candidate was not severed.
“The gubernatorial candidate openly told his kitchen cabinet that he should be excused when he funds some APC members to weaken APC for an easy win. The APC House of Representatives candidate was so out of cash that he could not attend Late Chief John Odey’s burial but immediately he was mobilized, he has been in a spending charades disceiving gullible youths. Some people think they can be smart, time shall tell. You can’t eat your cake and have it.
