Chairman, Biase Security Management Committee, Mrs Helen Isamoh Egodo, has been rewarded for his massive contributions to the growth and development of University of Calabar (Unical) community.
A former aspirant, who contested for the Cross River House of Assembly under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mrs Isamoh Egodo, a philanthropist and an outstanding orator, was presented with the award by the President Public Administration, Comr. Akaibe Slyvester of University Of Calabar.
While receiving the award, the former Senior Adviser to the governor on gender and development, admonished students to remain upright with their academics and project the good image of the state and institution.
“I thank the students on the award & dedicated it back to students & my boss, the Digital Governor of CRS, Sen. Prof Ben Ayade who have played pivotal role of bringing out the best in me by granting me opportunities of serving in different public sphere in serving humanity.
“I encourage you to abstain from any form of negativity and continue to pray and keep hope in God for brighter future. I also pledged for more assistant for the young undergraduates who have the intellectual & mental ability to becoming anything.
Recall that Mrs Chairman until her graduation was an active Comrade in university Unionism where she contested & won in the departmental & faculty level. Her last position held was Vice President of Cross River State Post-Graduate Students 2014/2015 academic year, before her immediate appointment as SA to the Governor on Gender and Development.
