INEC Postpones Election Date In Adamawa Constituency

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) have postponed the election for Nassarawo/Binyeri Constituency in Adamawa State on Saturday.

The postponement of the election was due to the death of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Adamu Kwanate, which occurred on Wednesday.

Disclosing this was the Adamawa State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Kashim Gaidam on Friday, where he stated that election would hold 24 state assembly constituencies, alongside the governorship election in the state.

Kwanate, who is seeking reelection in the upcoming election on Saturday, was said to have collapsed during a campaign engagement in his constituency and was rushed to a hospital in Yola, where he died.
