Dr George Abang Ekpungu has picked his interest/nomination form at the PDP secretariat in Abuja to run for the Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency at the National Assembly in 2019.
Dr Ekpungu, who was accompanied by his teaming supporters in Abuja, expressed confidence that he was the right man for the job.
The legal luminary and the immediate past Commissioner for New Cities Development who recently declared his ambition for the National Assembly job, assured the people of Ikom/Boki of effective representation and people oriented projects if elected into the green chambers.
Dr Ekpungu, who worked with the Economic and Financial Crime Commission between 2005 to 2008, has garnered wide contacts to attract the needed development to the federal constituency.
In 2013, he was appointed as the Chief Certified Compliance Officer in the Nigerian Capital Market by the Security and Exchange Commission.
Also, in 2014, he was appointed the company Secretary to Elcrest E&P Limited. He was also appointed to the rank of Notary Public by the Supreme Court in 2014.
And in 2015, he was appointed as the Commissioner for New Cities Development in Cross River State, an appointment he held until his resignation to seek for the Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency election in 2019.
Dr Ekpungu, who hails from Kakwagom community in Boki local government area, is a gentleman, PDP stalwart, grassrooter, philanthropy and a team player.
His sterling qualities in the government and private sectors are amazing. It’s time for the people of Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency to elect a representative they can access, trust and be able to reach.
