It was a moment of twist and turns as the former chief security adviser to the Cross River State Government, Hon. Jude Ngaji defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressive Congress (APC) due to the party’s insistence to grant automatic tickets to some candidates.
Hon Ngaji who recently resigned from his position in a bid to pursue his political career as a member representing Ogoja /Yala Federal Constituency, made a U-turn to purchase the normination form of APC instead of PDP.
His move which has caught many of his followers in disbelieve could well meant that he would be contesting against the incumbent Honourable Jarigbe Agom representing Ogoja /Yala Federal Constituency.
It will be recall that on Monday, some candidats and followers of PDP protested at the Party’s office in Cross River State, againstthe decision of the Party to issue an automatic tickets to some candidates in the federal and states position.
Besides, this could further encourage some party members who are also vying for both the federal and state positions to decamp to APC, thereby creating a slight loopholes within PDP.
It is yet to be seen how Hon Ngaji would defeat Hon. Agom for the position during the primaries.
