One of the Peoples Democratic Party candidates for the seat of the Calabar State House of Assembly, Biase Constituency,Helen Isamoh has taking a step further in the realization of her political ambitions after meeting with the key leadership of the party on Monday.
Helen, who was a former Special Assistant on gender and development to Governor Ben Ayade, remains one of the strong favourites to clinch the sole ticket to represent the party ahead of the 2019 general elections.
Meanwhile, PDP state Chairman, Ntufam inok Edim has applauded Helen’s massive campaign programmes since she declared her intention to run for the seat and reiterated the Party’s committment to support her campaign wholeheartedly.
He also praised her courage and encouraged other women to take a queue from her and attempt to be part of politics, through which they could participate in the decision making of government in Cross River State.
“Women shouldn’t stay at home and expect to have free tickets as the party the PDP is ready to implement the 35 percent affirmative action for women in Cross River State. And that can only be implemented if women show seriousness as exhibited by Helen Isamoh knowing too well that her track and past records speaks high as she recorded lots of success in the Ayade led administration through the office she headed as Special Assistant to Governor on Gender and Development) for 3 years and charged young men and women to emulate her as she is a young woman of noble character and high reputation.
