Gov Ayade Has No Intention Of Dumping PDP For APC – Ita

Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade says he has no intention of dumping the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2019 general elections.

In a reports published by Voplink Media , the Presidency pointed out that Gov Ayade and other two governors have indicated their intention to join the ruling party.

However, in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary, Christian Ita on Friday, the Governor insisted that he’s committed and dedicated to the party philosophy and doesn’t have any plans to leave PDP.

He reiterated that his relationship with President Muhammadu Buhari was basically on governmental level and nothing else.

“There is absolutely no truth to the report that Governor Ayade is defecting to the APC. It is fake news. It is the fertile imagination of the author of the report.

“The governor has a relationship with the President based on governance. So there is a need for us as a people to understand that governance is different from politics. Ayade is a committed PDP member.
