To Set Up Screens/Projects, Tents and Seats For Fans To Watch Super Eagles
Ahead of the 2018 World Cup in Russia, Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade has assured football fans in the state of watching the mundial at a serene and convenient Stadium, to ensure massive support for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Representing the governor was the Chairman sports commission,Rt. Hon. Orok Duke, who made this comments during a press briefing on Thursday, (May 31st), where told the Cross Riverian that all the modalities has been provided such as screens/ projectors, seats and tents that bring about comfort while watching the game.
In the words of Duke: “Don’t worry about security. The safety of Cross Riverians is our topmost concern and certainly, we will work with many security agencies to ensure no violence and harassments of citizens. said Orok Duke.
“Be expectant of a medical facility, well equipped by MTN alongside free WIFI within the period for the use of the masses. A cafeteria and rest room will be completed for the convenience of Cross Riverians within and after the period of competition.
“Owners of viewing centers should be clarified that the Government does not intend to intimidate them and their services but is simply reaching out to the masses in her own unique way by this gesture.” said Rt. Hon. Orok Duke.
The World Cup will begin on June 14 to July 14 and the Super Eagles of Nigeria have be pitted alongside, Argentina, Iceland and Croatia, a team they will play in their opening fixture on June 16.
