Presidential candidate of the People’s Party of Nigeria (PPN), Major Hamza Al-Mustapha (retd), said he would resign his position as the elected president of Nigeria if he fails to deliver the electoral promises of the PPN after two years.
Al-Mustapha, who was the Chief Security Officer (CSO) to the late dark-goggled maximum ruler, General Sani Abacha, urged the electorate to vote the PPN, adding that the party is made up of young men and women brimming with fresh ideas to tackle the plethora of socio-political woes affecting the country.
He added that the PPN has resolved to implement without any omission all what the party presents to the Nigerian populace as manifestoes, saying that “We want a new beginning that will be exemplary for generations to come. We have the resolve to implement exactly what we have presented to Nigeria.”
According to him, the PPN would do things differently unlike what any other party has done in the country, as he noted that “By two years into our administration in term of a well fortified direction we are well established to bring Nigeria out of the woods. And if this doesn’t happen we will resign from office and subject ourselves to trial for making false promises to Nigerians.”
He added, “Vote for our party, it is a party of young men and women who have the resolve to deliver and to serve Nigeria. We want a new beginning that will be exemplary for generations to come.
“We will not promise what we cannot do. Nigeria requires a very serious and dynamic leadership, free of rhetoric. We will bail this country out of the woods as promised, this we will surely do. This is the time for a new Nigeria.”
