*Lauds Gov Ayade’s Efforts In Providing Logistics To The Affected Communities
Afederal lawmaker, representing Ogoja/ Yala Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives, Hon Agom Jarigbe, has called on the Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi to proffer a better security measures that would help put an end to the communal clash between two boundary communities in the state over land dispute.
Jarigbe made this comments on Wednesday via his official Facebook handle, where he adviced the governor to borrow a leaf from Cross River State governor, Ben Ayade on how he subdued such crisis in the state without allowing it to escalate.
He however, called for calms amongst warring communities in order not prevent further bloodshed that could render many people homeless.
He said: “I wish to implore the Gov of Ebonyi State to step up his game in terms of Security in that area. He seems to be unperturbed, as our people get killed.
“The Ebonyi State Governor should emulate the Gov of CRS in handling the issue of Land dispute between the Izzi Communities of Ebonyi and Mfuma Communities in Cross River State.”
Meanwhile, he lauded the efforts of Gov Ben Ayade for deploring logistics to some of the affected areas via the Nigerian army in order to ensure normalcy return to the communities.
“We are so impressed that before we could reach the Gov of CRS, he had already deployed logistics for the Army to move in to the troubled area.
“As member representing Ogoja/ Yala Federal Const ituency, we thank GovAyade for the proactive measures he has taken to calm the situation”, he added
