The Cross river state Director General for due process and price intelligence bureau, Hon.Barrister Alphonsus Ogar Eba
,has enjoined Cross riverians that are 18 years and above to ensure that they have a Permanent Voters Card (PVC) by making themselves available for voters registration at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office nearest to them if they have not registered before.
Eba gave the advice yesterday during during a one-day sensitization/awareness on voters’ education which was organized by the OKADIGBO vanguard in Calabar the cross river state capital.
The Director General, who was represented by his Special Assistant on media, Egbara Emmanuel, disclosed that the advice had become necessary as it would enable them to make a well-informed decision on who represents them at the various levels of government.
“We will be failing in our duties if we fail to tell you of the power that you have as eligible voters; you have enormous electoral power to elect any candidate of your choice but you can only do this if you have your PVC”, he stated.
While thanking the Members of Okadigbo vanguard to organize the sensitization/awareness programme on voters’ education, the DG implored Cross riverians to put Cross river first by actively exercising their franchise in a responsible manner.
Earlier in his welcome address, the media Assistant to the DG , said that the important of the sensitization programme was to adequately enlighten people across board on the need to have a PVC.
