In a bid to ensure that healthcare services are well accessible to the people in Cross River State, wife of the State Governor, Dr Linda Ayade is set to unveil her free medical outreach in collaboration with Faithcare Outreach International in Ogoja and Obudu local government areas.
The event which comes through Linda Ayade’s Mediatrix Development Foundation (MDF), a pet project meant to alleviate the health conditions of the people in Cross River State.
The Ogoja area round has been concluded with a massive success, the Obudu LGA round is expected to hold between Tuesday the 31st of july and Friday the 3rd of August, 2018. The venue is at the Obudu General Hospital, Obudu.
This is in line with the goal of the foundation to promote health as a right, participate in policy formulation and administration, ensuring accessibility of health services by disadvantaged and vulnerable groups such as women, children, marginalized communities and the handicapped through provision of volunteer and free health service and medical interventions mostly in the hinterlands.
Some of the services that will be provided during the free medical outreach include free eye checks, Dental, Ear, Nose and Throat checks, including minor and major surgical operations.
Huge numbers of beneficiary are already counting their gains and were quick to laud the gestures made by the wife of the State Governor.
