Cross River SUBEB Boss Warns Primary School Staff Against Absenteeism

The Executive Chairman, State Universal Basic Education Board (CR-SUBEB), Dr Stephen Odey has warned all primary school staff against absenteeism and abscondment in order not to be met with stiff sanctions.

The warning which came at the wake of resumption of schools and the payment of April 2019 salaries to primary school staff is to ensure academic activities commence in earnest.

According to him “schools have resumed, we have just paid April salaries, there is no reason why any teaching or non teaching staff should be absent from school or fail in their responsibilities, we will not tolerate it.”

While urging them to live up to their responsibilities, Odey said the board will step up inspection of schools across the State.
