The Cross river state Director General for due process and price intelligence bureau, Hon.Barrister Alphonsus Ogar Eba has expressed satisfaction on the youth participation in politics under the administration of Senator Benedict Ayade within the three years of his government, calling for more contributions to enhance the developmental strategies of the incumbent government by voting massively for Senator Benedict Ayade in the next governorship election.
Eba also said youth involvement in the current Cross river politics should serve as a litmus test for well meaning Cross riverians, both in the Diaspora and home to consider Ayade as a lover of youths and key into his continuity agenda to guarantee a synergy between government and the masses.
In a message sent to the office of the state coordinator of OKADIGBO vanguard, while preparing for Northern senatorial district “neighbour to neighbour outreach” program , The DG said it was a thing of joy to see young people occupy top political offices under Ayade’s administration.
“The involvement of youth in politics leads to civic engagement which is broader than political engagement because it includes service to the community through involvement in health, education and charity work.
Political engagement is a more targeted aspect of civic engagement and can be expressed through voting, participating in political demonstrations and signing petitions for specific issues”
“With the current happenings in Cross river, youths should be proud of Cross river state government for the encouragement and opportunity to contribute their quota to the development of the state”
“Youths should embrace good policies that will better their futures and the state regardless of political affiliations in the forthcoming election”
In the message, he described the Governor as a young vibrant leader who has been tested with leadership positions both in the public and private sectors.
“It is high time Cross river youths reciprocated the kind gesture by voting massively for Ayade”
Furthermore, he commended the leadership of the Okadigbo vanguard for preaching the gospel of sustainability of Ayade’s legacies which encompass viable development plans, human capital development, transparency, democracy, among others across the 18 local governments.
“OKADIGBO Vanguard is a promising movement that comprises agile youths who are ready to work tirelessly for the actualization of the continuity agenda of the incumbent government” he said.
