As challenging as it seems, the Digital Governor Prof. Ben. Ayade of Cross River state and the DG. Primary Health care Dr. Betta Edu have collectively thought ahead for good citizens of the state to access quality health care deliveries. In a media briefing held today 6th of March, 2019 at the DG’s office, the inadequacy of health workers across the state’s 18 LGA’s was said to be a burden for the good hearted Governor as the Ayade Care scheme is in dire need of capable hands to keep it running to top the chart of performance.
So, to salvage the pressing challenge for the greater good of citizens, strategies have been adopted to ensure that experienced and committed health personnels are employed said Dr. Betta Edu.
As there’s need for 1000 health workers in the field, examination will hold on the 16th of March, 2019 at various centers as follows;
Calabar center – WAPI secondary school
Ikom center – Jovisko secondary school and Ogoja center – Technical College.
7,300 candidates have been shortlisted already and based on merit, interviews will be conducted across the 18 LGA’s , list of successful candidates published and appointment letters given.
Only the qualified will enjoy the benefits of working in a well equipped facility, with provision of tricycles to make deliveries, and rural incentives for those who will work at rural areas.
On record, the bases for employment will be done on zero acquaintance level or politician referrals. Those who merit it, have the know how and as such, will be employed said Dr. Betta Edu.
