President Muhammadu Buhari has issued a strong warning to Nigerian youths to desist from snatching of ballot boxes if they don’t want to risk their lives.
Buhari stated this on Monday during the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Caucus meeting, where he vowed to clamp down on any youths found disrupting the peaceful atmosphere of this Saturday’s Presidential/National Assembly and Governorship/House of Representatives elections.
Buhari also said that he has ordered security agencies to ensure they secure the whole environment and make sure the election went smoothly.
“I will warn those who has planned to disrupt the peaceful elections to desist from their planned actions. Anyone who tries that is doing it at the expense of his own life”. President Buhari said
In the same vein, Buhari has warned the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) take Nigerians and the party for granted with the sudden postponement of Saturday’s Presidential/National Assembly and Governorship/House of Representatives election.
Speaking during the APC National Caucus meeting in Abuja on Monday, Buhari reiterated the need for INEC to ensure they don’t fail Nigerians for the second time.
He also appealed to Nigerians not to be tired but go out to cast out their vote on Saturday February 23 and March 9 respectively.
