Stakeholders and constituents from Boki 2 has endorsed Mr Alvin Ochang for the House of Assembly seat ahead of the 2019 general elections.
Ochang was endorsed by PDP stalwarts in his home town in Kakwagom community in Boki local government area during his declaration to vie for the assembly seat.
The declaration, which attracted thousands of supporters and admirers was done in a colourful atmosphere were youths, women, the aged and support groups came out in their colourful attires to drum support for Ochang.
The six wards executives and all chapter executives were in attendance and each came out to endorse Alvin for the state house.
The Chairman of Buda ward, Mr James Abang, described him as a bridge builder between the young and the elderly.
Abang assured that there would cast their vote for Alvin during the primaries.
Other ward executives who came out to speak also endorsed and encouraged Alvin to keep his ambition alive.
Speaking, Ochang said that his decision to contest for the seat was to give his people an effective representation by attracting developmental projects to the area and fostering peace in his constituency.
According to him, he has consulted stakeholders and the leadership of the party widely before making his intention known.
Ochang, a seasoned banker, told the gathering that his ward, (Kakwagom/Bawop) has been neglected over the years without an elective seat, hence the need to give him the needed support to drive his ambition successfully.
He promised to initiate laws that would be beneficial to the state and for the interest of his people.
He appealed to all delegates to give him their needed support and vote during the primaries.
Also, Mr Jerry Roland, the Director General of G22, a support group, said that the time for Alvin Ochang was now, adding that OChang is a man of integrity who match his words with actions.
“Alvin is a man of his words. It would be wrong at this point in time to deny Alvin of the ticket. I’m calling on all sons and daughters of Boki II state constituency to drum support for Alvin Ochang.
“He is a young man who has promised us quality representation, peace in our land and development”, he said.
The DG of Alvin’s Campaign Organization, Hon. Stephenson Odok, said his aspirant was the most suitable for the job.
According to him, it was time the people of Boki II elect a representative they can interact with, access and be carried along in the scheme of things.
Another supporter, Mr Jimmy Dibang, said that Alvin has come for a rescue mission with a view to ensure that the people of Boki II are heard.
Dibang, who led a delegation from Calabar to the declaration, said he was supporting Alvin because of his humility, kindness, open hearted, comradeship among others.
“Alvin has come to impact on the lives of Boki II state constituency. We must all rise and support him.
“Alvin will work tirelessly to ensure that they is peace in Boki”, he said.
