Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mrs. RoseMary Archibong has commended Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade for the construction of the state-of-art school building for the people of the state.
Known as the Federal Government’s Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) Model Junior Secondary, which provide for suitable learning environment and grooming children, Archibong noted that the land mark was achieved due to the academic success recorded by the students at the National Examination Council.
She made this statements during an inspection of the school on May 17, 2018, where she disclosed that education remains a vital instrument reshaping the youth and future; while also appealing to the people of the state to utilise this great opportunity.
“We have seen the conducive atmosphere which the Governor has put in place which brought this partnership with the Federal Government to put up this beauty with state-of-the-art facilities for normal teaching and learning,” she concluded.
Meanehile, Vice Principal of the School, Mrs. Theresa Friday Eni couldn’t hide her joy as she showered praises on Gov Ayade for putting smiles on the faces of the students with this outstanding gesture.
Cited around Itigidi, the school which was established on October24, 2016, is growing in leaps and bounds, with 98 students currently under their tutelage.
In the same vein, parents and students expressed their joy on the latest development that has graced their community and commended the state governor for making this project a reality.
It will be recalled that the Ayade-led administration had partnered UBEC to build such model schools in each of the three Senatorial Districts in the State.
