Commissioner for Rural Transformation, Establishment and Training, Hon Dr Godwin E. Amanke has congratulated the governor of Cross River State, Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade, for recording a landslide victory in last Saturday’s governorship elections in the state.

In a press statement dated March 14, 2019 and titled, ” congratulations to a great leader”, the Commissioner said that the victory of Ayade was/is a seal of approval by the people of the state that Ayade has done so well in his first tenure that he deserves another term, stressing that ” one good and performing term deserves another term”.

He reasoned that with the level of aggressive Development projects and programmes put in place across all sectors by Ayade, it would have taken God himself to stop Ayade’s reelection, but that God would not have stopped it because He is Happy with the performances of the governor as his governance touches the People’s lives in a positive way.

Amanke asserted that the election was an outward expression of the feelings of the people of the state towards Ayade and their earnest desire for him to continue in office as governor till 2023.

The Rural Transformation, Establishment and Training Commissioner, maintained that Cross River State is out for another wonderful journey of total transformation with another four years with Ayade in the states driver’s seat, asserting that Cross River and the the people will be better for it at the end.

Amanke further reasoned that governor Ayade’s exploit in the education, health, agriculture, infrastructure, Urban and rural development, human capital development and empowerment and in the area of industrialization, roads and the signature projects, taking into consideration the project’s that have been completed and those ongoing that need to be completed by the initiator of such projects, it was instructive that Cross Riverians filed behind Ayade in the last election and gave him the landslide victory he got last Saturday.

“The garment factory and CALAPHARM, Calachika factory, toothpick factory, Cocoa processing plant, rice processing factory, rice Seed and Seedlings factory,, among others are clear evidents of your wonderful performances without the space of four years.

  1. It is therefore my prayer that God Almighty sustain you in your earnest desire to develop Cross River and also grant you the wisdom to continue to lead with the fear of God and the courage to ignore distractors,” Amanke asserted.
